Updates from this week:

• Met with the key Clarion staff to discuss in person the issues residents raise, and the regeneration. As a result, they’re already moving along on some immediate concerns (e.g. looking at re-surfacing an uneven road, got the grass cut).
• Raised resident concerns about Nelson Trading Estate with its owner and manager.
• Attended the brilliant Colour House Theatre’s fundraising night. This great kids theatre in Merton Abbey Mills is one of the new Mayor’s charities this year. There are shows every weekend – do support it!
• Got our hands dirty helping to set up and run Mitcham Carnival, which was a great success.

We were glad that the proposed development of the Rose Cottage site was rejected, well done to the Battles Area Residents Association for their work on this.
