How’s your week been? It’s been busy for your local councillors:

  • Attended the very moving Remembrance Day service in Wimbledon Village
  • Faith in Action open evening – to find out more about how to support the vital work done by this local drop in centre for homeless and vulnerable people visit: www.mertonfaithinaction.org
  • Future Merton are continuing to consult until 6 January on the Wimbledon Masterplan and now the Local Plan, which features a section dedicated to recognising South Wimbledon as a local centre:  – www.merton.gov.uk/planning-and-buildings/planning/local-plan/newlocalplan we attended public events on The Broadway and Battles Area Residents Association.
  • In a significant development for our area, planning consent has been approved for a permanent site on High Path for the new Harris Wimbledon school, which opened this year on a temporary site. We must work hard to ensure that this is a positive development for our community.

And we continue to knock on doors to find out what people’s views on the local area. Continuing to find some problems related to the new bin service – get in touch if you have any ongoing problems with this, or any other local issue.
