To celebrate the NHS’ 70th Birthday, Wimbledon Labour took our stand to our usual spot outside Wimbledon Centre Court Shopping Centre.

We were joined by Barbara Keeley MP, the Shadow Cabinet Member for Mental Health and Social Care. In this role, she is campaigning for improvements in mental health and social care services and for improved support and recognition for carers.

We could not believe the level of support we received for our campaign.  People were queuing up to sign our “Happy Birthday” card and the high street was awash with children carrying our NHS balloons and we ran out of NHS stickers.

We then went down to William Morris House to see the huge  “Get Well Soon NHS” banner produced by Eleanor Parkes and her team.
