It is a huge honour to have won the support of Wimbledon Labour members. 

I’d like to thank Stephen, Miran and the selection committee for ensuring the process ran so smoothly. 

But most importantly I’d like to thank everyone who took part in the process and who took the time to speak with me. Wimbledon Labour members know that a strong Labour government is the only way to tackle all the big issues facing us – declining living standards, decimated public services, and the climate crisis. And Wimbledon deserves a local MP who sits on the Government benches, not with a minor opposition party. We now need to take that message to voters right across our expanded constituency. 

Wimbledon has had a Labour MP before, and if we work hard together, we will have one again. 

I won’t let you down.
