Thanks to everyone who came to hear our fabulous speakers discuss the Housing and Homelessness Crisis last night. Big thank you to Karen Buck MP, David Robinson from Evolve Housing, Nicki Zisman from Faith in Action/Merton night shelters and Cllr Martin Whelton for their thoughts.

There was lots of appetite to try to help. Some immediate things you can do:

• consider donating to specialist homelessness charities like our speakers are from rather than giving to people begging on the street
• if you’re worried about someone sleeping rough, talk to them and tell Streetlink so the local outreach team is aware
• join the campaign to end unfair evictions, a major cause of homelessness www.endunfairevictions.org
