Merton Labour
The majority of the Wimbledon parliamentary constituency lies in the Labour-run London Borough of Merton, which covers two constituencies: Wimbledon, and Mitcham and Morden. Of Merton’s 20 wards, the 11 in Mitcham and Morden are all held by Labour, and this with the two Labour councillors from Wimbledon provides a Labour majority.
(Four of the Wimbledon parliamentary constituency wards are part of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames).
